Ascert Becomes Founding Member of U.S. Faster Payments Council

Ascert joins other industry leaders as a member of the FPC to work towards advancing the faster payments ecosystem.

​The U.S. Faster Payments Council (FPC) was launched on November 13, 2018. The FPC was established to help realize the vision of a payments system where Americans can safely and securely pay anyone, in any location, and at any time with immediate funds availability.  The FPC’s mission is to form a collaborative partnership with all stakeholders to create a high-quality experience for users, while ensuring security, and advancement of emerging technologies and uses.

“We are very pleased to join the FPC as a Founding member and to be able to play an advisory role as an experienced provider in the testing of transactional payment systems”, said Andrew Mould, Managing Partner, Ascert. “We’ve been the testing and certification entity for several national payments schemes in our 25-year history and feel that experience will be beneficial to assisting in the U.S. efforts to realize its goals of a faster payments future.”

When the Faster Payments Service was expanded in 2016 to include 3rd party gateway solutions, Ascert was again selected to provide the online accreditation system through its Ascertified cloud-based testing service, once more powered by its leading-edge VersaTest product.
